Nothing says Christmas quite like a choir. The carols, the harmonies, the rosy cheeks, and the brass band accompaniment, this is about as festive as it is possible to get.
We sing carols, we have singers in to sing carols and the team like nothing more than to join in with a rendition of Deck the Halls but there is something extra special about going out to a carol service.
We were excited, one of our friends here has a daughter who sings in a choir, and they had invited us along to hear them sing. We had our evening meal, grabbed our coats, and headed out to the venue. Although we do get out and about often, we do not head out in the evening often, it felt good to be heading out in the dark, surrounded by friends.
We arrived in good time and took our seats and were treated to magical evening of joyous singing. We joined in, singing along, and applauding each song. It was so uplifting.
Christmas is a busy time, we have been shopping, we have written our cards and we have decorated the house, we have worked hard on the preparations, it was so nice to relax and enjoy an evening out.
Thank you so much to Jean’s daughter for the invitation and to the team for taking us, we enjoyed it enormously.
