We can confirm that summer has definitely arrived. The sun is shining, and we are making the most of it. This week has seen a bit of a heat wave across the UK, and we have taken the opportunity to indulge in a spot of al fresco fun.
There is something about relaxing outdoors that is reminiscent of holidays abroad; the sun on our faces, the chirping of the crickets and the birdsong all combine to create a wonderful holiday atmosphere.
The holiday feeling at Marham was ramped up a notch this week when we were treated to an al fresco performance by the Latin Caprice Duo, they certainly got the party started. Suddenly Bury St Edmunds felt very much like South America. It was wonderful.
The team made sure that we were all comfortable and then came around with the drinks trolley as the duo began to play, good company, a glass of chilled wine, glorious weather, and an upbeat Latin tune, it doesn’t get much better than that.
We sang along, we danced, everyone was in such good spirits, we reminisced, we drank, and we laughed and when we had had our fill of wine and sunshine, we were able to head inside to continue our fiesta in the comfort of our air-conditioned lounge.
We have no idea how long this glorious weather will last, it could be months, it could be days but for however long it lasts we will make the most of every minute of it.
