Christmas has well and truly arrived at Marham House with staff and residents all dreaming of a white Christmas to end this year on a high.

The residents and staff have been extremely busy over the weekend preparing and decorating their home ahead of a month packed with Christmas events and festivities. Each floor has its own Christmas Tree, with all lounges/diners beautifully decorated. Lights are sparkling, decorations are hanging, cookies are baking, and music is playing, throughout Marham House, creating their very own winter wonderland.

Although this Christmas will be a very different one, compared to the ones we normally know, Christmas events, games, food, music, joy, and laughter will be very much present at the care home this year.

Some of the events included across the month include, a Champagne and Sparkle Party, Christmas Eve Service, NYE Dinner, NYD Big Quiz, virtual singers, concerts and pantos, Christmas movies, cakes and arts and crafts.

As we know some of our residents will be missing their loved ones this Christmas we want to make it as easy as we possibly can for them to stay in contact, we have glass fitted screens coming into the home, which will allow for more visiting, we also have facetime, skype, and other videoing technologies that will allow families and residents to stay in contact over the Christmas period.

We cant wait until we can open our doors and have families and friends with us for the Christmas period, but we are holding out hope for next year.
