As you will no doubt be aware we have been organising a Christmas event for our residents and the local community to enjoy; we have market stalls, a brass band, a tombola, a raffle, and we are even expecting a visit from Santa and his reindeer.
It takes a lot of work to organise an event such as this particularly considering the many additional considerations for the time of year and current worldwide situation. I am pleased to share that Hertfordshire Country Council have reviewed our plans and are happy for this to go ahead.
When we began organising this fayre, we had a contingency plan to move the event indoors if the weather was inclement, however considering the latest Coronavirus guidance in place due to the emergence of the new variant we now need a new plan.
We are very grateful to Rob at A10 Event Hire and Services for working so hard to get us a lovely marquee which was organised so quickly. We can now enjoy the evening safe in the knowledge that everyone will be protected, and that Santa will not come down with a cold 8 days before his busiest day of the year.
We would love for you to come down and join us, although Layston Grove has been open since 2018, Halcyon took over ownership of the home earlier this year so this will be our first Christmas with the Buntingford community, and we are so excited to share it with you.
To ensure that this event is managed safely, any visitor will be required to wear a face covering, we ask that people sanitise their hands on arrival and take an LFT test before leaving home (please do contact us should you need any advice on this). Please do not attend if you have any symptoms on Covid.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the people of Buntingford. We have been blown away by your generosity and desire to help our chosen charity, the Buntingford Food Bank. We couldn’t think of a nicer community to be part of, we are excited for what the future holds.
