On Sunday the weather outside was not particularly tropical but the atmosphere inside Marham House was decidedly different.
The Lifestyle team had once again worked their magic and transformed the dining room into a tropical paradise. It was so pretty. We were each handed a lei to wear around our necks and then we settled down to watch as our very own TicTok superstar, Elsie made the punch live on camera. Her face was a picture as she watched more and more alcohol being added to the tank.
Elsie was born to entertain; the camera loves her. She has such a fun personality and she certainly entertained us, we were in stitches and that was before we’d even started on the punch.
Sunday afternoons are so different here at Marham compared to what they were like when I was at home. I would have been dosing in my chair by 3pm not sipping fruity cocktails and having a singsong.
Life here really is a lot of fun; I am surrounded by like-minded people, and we have formed such a tight bond. We have lived experiences that unite us. We are already known to enjoy a natter, reminiscing about the past and sharing stories; after a couple of cocktails there was no stopping us, we chatted and laughed, and the afternoon just flew by.
We appreciate that circumstances have made it difficult to plan activities and events over the last year, however we are never left disappointed. Jackie and her team do an amazing job, they can turn something as simple as drinks in the dining room into an event. We are so grateful to them.
