Where has this year gone? It doesn’t seem like 5 minutes since I was writing about taking down the Christmas tree and seeing in the new year and here, we are planning for Easter.
The clocks have gone forward, or is it back? No, it is definitely forward, and the days are getting longer and sunnier. Blossom is beginning to appear on the trees; and we are seeing glimpses of the summer that is just around the corner. Whilst this year has flown it does seem a long time since we have been able to enjoy the garden, felt the sun on our back, and we are ready for it.
Easter is only a week or so away, and we have been busy preparing. We have lots planned, egg hunts, baking, chocolate making, chocolate eating, the list goes on and we want our home to look like an Easter wonderland. We have been crafting decorations and compiling a list of our favourite spring recipes.
Unlike last year, we will be inviting our families along over the Easter weekend to join in the fun, we are looking forward to spending time with our children, helping our grandchildren find the hidden eggs, we have our fingers crossed that the weather is kind to us.
We’ll write again and update you about our Easter festivities but for now I must sign off, I have chocolate to melt and Hot Cross Buns to knead.
