Hazel End Care Home spent their week preparing and celebrating Halloween. Residents baked and created Halloween cakes and crafts, making their own decorations, and turning Hazel End into a creepy trick or treat spectacular.
Throughout the week the team organised daily themed events and residents were thrilled to take part in a variety of activities, from fancy dress, to pumpkin carving lessons and bake off competitions Hazel End residents have had a Halloween packed week.
George Lifestyle Assistant commented “I love any excuse to get dressed up and decorate, seeing the residents get involved and enjoy it is so rewarding. We have lots of fun things lined up to show case our residents talents and appeal to their interests, from spooky baking and decorating to a Halloween themed happy hour. I love seeing everyone get stuck into Halloween at Hazel End.”
One resident said “There’s always something fun going on, and by the looks of the decorations, they’re up to something good. Its good to have a laugh”.
Alicia Marketing and Communications Manager said “Its great that the residents get so involved in all the activities in the home. It really shows how Hazel End is more than just a care home, and more of a lifestyle choice, for the next chapter in our resident’s lives.”
Hazel End is a newly built residential care home in Bishops Stortford. It supplies 24-hour care within buildings that have been purposefully designed for the elderly, along with enough artistic flourishes and comfortable additions to make it feel warm and welcoming to its residents. Hazel End’s facilities include spacious and luxurious social areas, stylish décor and secure gardens and grounds that are open to all guests and residents. All 66 bedrooms are en-suite, giving our residents an independent lifestyle while at the same time supporting their needs. In this way, our staff can deliver person-centred care in a dignified, understated way. We believe that no one should come into our home unless we are going to be able to make their lives better, make their days easier and support them in leading the life they choose to lead.
