In November Canterbury House will be receiving a visit about which we are very excited; Helen Whatley is the MP for Faversham and Minister for Care, and we are honoured that she wants to come along to meet our team and our residents, to take a tour of our home and to listen to our vision for the company and for the future of care in the UK.

Halcyon Care Homes is a company that innovates. Our years of experience within the care sector has taught us much. We understand that selecting a residential care setting is one of the most important decisions many people will have to make, and we understand the anxiety that this move can create for all involved. 

Over the years our experience has enabled us to build a company that other care providers aspire to. We have listened to and absorbed feedback from residents, their family members and our care teams and consistently worked towards creating the perfect balance between environment, care and lifestyle. We are the future of care.

We are very proud of our homes but more importantly our residents are proud of their home. They enjoy showing prospective residents and their families the facilities and waxing lyrical about the lifestyle on offer and the community that they have built. 

Canterbury House in Faversham opened in July 2021. It is a purpose built 66 room residential home. It boasts a tearoom, a cinema, a hairdressing and beauty salon, a bar, a variety of lounge areas and a beautiful garden. It has all the elegance and luxury of a 5-star hotel yet has the feeling of home.

Since opening we have welcomed many visitors into our home including local GPs, hospital teams and the Mayor of Faversham who gave our home her seal of approval. We have felt honoured that these visitors were prepared to take time out of their busy schedules to come along and allow us to show them around.

We are very excited to have been granted the opportunity welcome Helen Whatley MP into our home, to give her the guided tour of our beautiful facilities, to offer her a sample of Halcyon hospitality and share our vision for the future of care.
