The activity schedule here is full, there is always something going on, some fun to be had. We take part in quizzes and games, outings and parties and we are never bored. I especially enjoy the parties and we have thrown some great themed soirees, but none of them quite as much fun as the party we had on Friday.
Friday was pyjama party day; a whole day of fun events and we didn’t even have to get dressed. It was funny to see the staff in their nightwear.
We began the day with a pamper session, dimmed lights, foot spas, facials, and manicures. The room smelled of bergamot and lemon and there was relaxing music playing in the background, we even sipped sparkling wine as we sat back and enjoyed being made a fuss of. It was bliss.
After lunch we played games, it felt a little like Christmas day, everyone in their pyjamas, joining in the fun.
Earlier in the week we’d spent time personalising pillowcases and following the games we grabbed our pillows, blankets and a tub of popcorn and settled down in the cinema room to watch a film.
We had such a lovely time, everyone enjoyed themselves and there were some crazy pyjamas and onesies. It was clear that a lot of thought had gone into creating a day that we wouldn’t forget, from the activities to the ridiculous outfits and the drinks and the snacks, it was all meticulously planned, and we are very grateful.
This was my first pyjama party and I’m looking forward to many more.
