I am a very sociable person, I love the company of others and meeting new people. I have always enjoyed an active social life, from theatre trips and restaurants to committees and clubs, I have had a wonderful time and enjoyed it all. One of my favourite pastimes was quizzing. Our local pub hosted a weekly quiz, and it was always a good night. Glass of wine, plate of nibbles and great company, we were quite a formidable team.
We have our own bar here, the Sky Bar, it is beautiful, very modern, and classy and being on the top floor it has a wonderful view, especially around sunset. We often sit by the window, gin and tonic in hand and watch the sun go down recounting stories and enjoying each other’s company.
This week the Sky Bar was the venue for a quiz, you can imagine my delight. The tables were laid with plates of crips and nuts and there was a host of drinks on offer, cocktails, wine, beer, and every spirit you could think of. There were answer sheets and pens on each table.
We had a fabulous time, the atmosphere was jovial, the drinks were flowing, and the mood was high, we tried not to get too competitive but failed miserably, we all wanted to win.
The facilities here at Marham House are fantastic, it really is a community, we have a hairdressing salon and a tearoom both offering us an authentic experience without having to leave the building. The bar with its quizzes and parties is the icing on the cake or perhaps I should say, the cherry on the cocktail.
