It is has been a busy few months for us here at Glenvale Park as we have worked hard to finalise the commissioning of our new, luxury, residential care home. After months of planning, everything has come together, the team are in place, training is complete, the finishing touches have been added to this beautiful purpose-built home and the keys are ours.
To celebrate the grand opening, we hosted a fundraising day in aid of AGE UK.
The event has been a huge success; Councillor Lora Lawman cut the ribbon to declare Glenvale Park officially open and she stayed to join our other visitors as they enjoyed activities that included a tombola, and Easter themed games. Everyone was invited to participate in the prize raffle and to attend the very first Glenvale Park award ceremony, during which members of the team were presented with gifts of appreciation for their hard work.
Throughout the day visitors were serenaded by a local harpist and a violinist who were both immensely talented and did a wonderful job of creating the perfect soundtrack to the event.
The event raised £155 for AGE UK.
Glenvale Park will be hosting open days on 26th, 27th, 28th & 29th April and 4th & 11th May from 10am to 5pm
"I am over-the-moon with how our open day has gone. We are excited to be finally opening the doors to Glenvale Park. My team have done an amazing job in organising this fundraising event. This was a wonderful start to our journey and one that has cemented our new relationships with our Mayor Lora Lawman and with the team from Age UK.’’ – Rex Pudol (Registered Home Manager)
