We are officially open. Our doors were flung open on Monday and on Saturday we made it official when the deputy mayor came along to cut the ribbon.
Unfortunately, we had to scale back the event, although our first resident was yet to move in, we didn’t want to put any of our team or our wonderful community at risk. We were however able to welcome Santa along and a couple of his reindeer too. The mayor could not attend but the deputy mayor stepped in at a moment’s notice and did a fabulous job and we are incredibly grateful to him for that.
We were extremely lucky with the weather; the skies were a little grey, but the rain held off and both Santa and his reindeer were grateful for that. We had a visit from Deep Roots Tall Trees Choir, their voices could brighten the greyest of days.
Overall, we had a lovely time, Santa met some of the local children, all of whom were on his good list, the reindeer were very well behaved and lapped up the attention, the choir were amazing, the mayor very charming and extremely interested in Priors Hall and all that we have to offer.
We want to give a special thank you to the children of Priors Hall School, they created some outstanding art for us to display, the reindeer were breath-taking, so creative.
And lastly, we met some wonderful people and got to show off a bit, conducting tours of our beautiful home. We shall reschedule our market event when it is safe to do so.
Thank you to everyone who was involved, we couldn’t have done it without you.
Have a wonderful Christmas, stay safe and be happy from everyone at Priors Hall Care Home.
